It would be a good idea to store them in the bank and perform the Altar running once you have sufficient of the bones stored, but it's up to you in the event that you want to risk the equipment.

Killing reanimated creatures provides large chunks of Prayer experience, but it is a less consistent way compared to bones farming, so you can't count on getting enough Ensouled Heads to get from level 1 to 99.
